Emma's Retro style hen party in Galway!

Orla organized this Retro Hen party surprise for her pal Emma at the carlton hotel suites in Galway recently.
Lucky for us the weather was holding fast for some outdoor shots as we were dying to show off the beautiful dresses and brollies in their full glory!
For starters the amazing makeup team Theresa Danaher and Sandra Gillen made the girls over in style - liquid liner,  red lipstick and fake lashes were the order of the day. The girls all came in their own ensembles and I could'nt help but gasp once I saw Emma become a doppelganger for 'Bernie Dexter' one of our favourite  internet retro lingerie models! As each girl came in she was transformed into a cute bombshell - The lads would not be able to resist a flutter of these lashes ....!
Once the makeup was complete we set up some studio style shots in the bedroom . We are used to working in challenging spaces so it was handy that the suites had some interconnecting rooms - perfect for the rest of the gang to admire the makeovers and have a glass of bubbly while waiting.
Once our one- to- one shots were over we did some tongue in cheek bedroom ones complete with retro phones, hairbrushes and mirrors from our dress up box  and also some outdoor shots on the deck.
The stunning retro bride to be!

The girls could not have been nicer and totally got into their alter egos for the cheesecake posing (not easy if you have never done it!! ) Well done ladies you totally pulled it off ! x

Rachels Black and white Theme Hen party!

Rachel and her posse travelled up to Dublin to celebrate her hen party. The theme was black and white and I have to say her shoes were one of the first things I noticed...zebra print tooooo coool (me want!)
The bridal party had ties on so I was able to differentiate them and there was even a lad thrown into the mix for good measure. I couldn't have missed him with the red mowhawk and fair play he posed with the rest in style! Some of the props the girls brought included a large inflatable phallus which made it's way into some images for fun...Here are some snaps taken in 'Copper Alley' nightclub before the gang hit the town.

The sexy hen !

Paddy's day Hen Shenanigans!

It was green all the way on Paddy's day -
we left a rainy Galway for the sunny south to catch up with a Hen party from Kerry! Colleen and the gang arrived to the 'Towers Hotel' in Glenbeigh for their photoshoot - T-shirts printed the whole shebang! What a great bunch they were. As they were hopping off the bus they ended up being the main attraction in the town not the parade that had just passed!
Lots of fun , props and even some dodgy piggy backs were had on the day - we managed to capture some studio looks and also have a blast outdoors. Here are some shots taken from the shoot.

"That" Birthday shoot!

Introducing the original 'Bree' from Desperate housewives, my friend Annie. No one manages to juggle 4 kids, running a creche, baking, cleaning cooking (the list goes on) like our Annie.
She whisks up culinary delights on her Aga and still manages to look like a million dollars I don't know how she does it but she does! Celebrating her recent Birthday in style with a shoot showcasing her love for her brand new...wait for it  black patent 'Laboutins' (did I spell that right?)
We also incorporated her personality a bit as we all know Annie loves 'Mayo the team' Christmas, retro dresses, pretty shoes and her Aga of course!

Boy were the new shoes broken in well on Saturday night in Greenfields with classic 80's hits courtesy of Ronaldino (aka Ronan Lardner) We are all still recovering....
Great night, great company and great memories.
Here are some shots from the desperate housewives shoot  - perfectly personifying our Annie!

Rock 'n'roll bride!

A recent hen shoot in the Pillo hotel  Galway turned out to be a rockin experience. Our bride to be Elaine was surprised with the 'cosmo makeover session' by her friends. They even went to the trouble of making the ultimate soundtrack for her and bringing it down so we could have a bit of craic during the shoot. As Alice cooper and Metallica were blaring the ladies all had their makeup applied by Theresa Danaher and there was plenty of banter between them in the hotel room! (yes we did a group in the hotel bedroom believe it or not!)
Seeing as this was planned to be done in the  room we opted for the pyjama party look and the girls all had a lovely set each for the photo shoot. Firstly  we did the glam one to one shots for a different look followed by some shots of the bridal party and different scenarios of family etc.
On went the Pj's and all hell broke loose - pillows flying and plenty of belly laughs! We did some tongue in cheek shots in the bed also just for fun. Here are some snippets!
I have visions of them all at Elaine's Halloween wedding moshing up a storm!!

Autumn Baby bump shoot

The lovely Ms D approached me for a Baby bump shoot recently as she felt it was time to document this special time in her life. Unlike myself she was brave enough to find out what sex the baby will be - we hinted at this in one image..! She was positively blooming and it showed through in her images.  We also took the time to do an original Autumn theme shot of the bump which is one of my personal favourites...afterall we end up calling our little ones 'pumpkin' often enough!!
I have to thank her for allowing me to show some snippets from her shoot as this really is such a personal experience. x

Eileens Hen!

When Eileen decided to have a hen party she wanted the theme to be 'Fab shoes'. I have to say I gasped when I saw her shoes as I had admired them once online and they looked so amazing on!  Tattoo style shoes!! The rest of the gang surprised her with this shoot and we played a little with the burlesque style before taking the group shots outside of their fab shoes and killer black dresses!
Makeup was done by the amazing Sandra Gillen on the day and the girls were delighted to be all glam for their impending night on the town of Galway.
A big thanks to the B+B Teach na Coiribe on the Tuam road who could not have been more accommodating to the hens and to us throughout the shoot. A highly recommended hen location.....

some of the amazing shoes on display!

The stunning bride to be!
