Lisa' s fun Boudoir and Pin-up session

Lisa's fab mom recently purchased a Boudoir Girls voucher as a gift to her daughter. As Lisa was booking in for her new fab tattoo (by Nancy L. Klein of Galway bay Tattoo) we decided to wait until it was done to do the session. Her favourite type shots were leaning toward the retro pin-up and some classy boudoir images. She applied her own makeup for the shoot and hair was done by the talented Laura Murphy . Four of her amazing family and friends (some also former clients you may recognise)  popped down to share in the fun and support her. We had a  great giggle shooting for the afternoon and had plenty of outfit changes to mix up the styles a bit.
We all have our favourites from the images and at least she will have them forever too! Well done girl you were amazing ! Here is a peek at some of the shots from the day.

These ladies laced up their corsets and were a treat to photograph in the apartments!

Home and Away Hen!

I shot a fun hen at  The Clayton Hotel recently - It was all perfectly orgnaized by Johann for her friend Emma. We had the run of a lovely conference room at the hotel so plenty of space for shooting and having fun! We mixed the theme with a bit of Home and away and  Summerbay beach shots. Here are a few snippets of these fab ladies.

Tammy's 80's Hen at the Courtyard Apartments

We had a blast with these ladies on a recent shoot in Carrick on shannon. They all came in 80's attire and had an amazing makeover with Kelly O' Dowd and her team. We shot some funny images in the comfort of the CourtyardApartments so they could listen to their favourite tunes and have some refreshments. Tammy and the girls (including the very glam moms and aunties)  rocked their shots in all their coloured gear!

Ms R's Hen at the Bentley

Here are some snapshots of a recent shoot in the Bentley  (The Bentley Café Bar - Club - Live Venue ) in Galway.  Mark was the organizer of this hen party with Posh fizz Hens for his bud Rachel and I have to say they were a fun bunch! They posed along to their favourite tunes after an amazing makeover by Theresa Dahaher at Makeup flair Roisin Derrane  and Makeup  and Susanne Dolan Makeup
The colourful 'Mocktails' which were kindly hand delivered by the Bentley staff were put to good use too in the shoot.
We had lots of space to play around in this venue - it was great to see the lads getting stuck into the fun with the gang!

Hollywood Ladies of the Manor!

Now and again I get to go to a location that blows me away in terms of scenery, architecture and ambience. I knew pulling up the drive to Coolatore House near Moate that this place was going to be special. The locals are also fierce proud of it as none other than Michael Jackson rented it for himself and his children some time ago! Not every day you hear a 'sceal' like that but it's true.

I was greeted by a barrage of beautiful ladies all dressed in Hollywood attire - it was virtually like stepping back in time.  The sun was shining , the drawing room was all set for light refreshments and tea ...everyone was giddy with excitement between running around, getting ready and hiding the big secret from the lovely Hen Gemma!
Gemma just landed home from Oz to see all her friends and there was some turnout!  It was poignant  to think she had to go again a few days we made the most of it.
As her lovely sister played a slideshow for her of her youth, moms aunts and friends laughed together while sipping champagne and tea before the comedy of our other shots began. (the moms were the wildest fair play to them!)
We went for some gambling style shots in the dining area before the hilarious tearoom images. The finale was jumping and running around the beautiful landscaped lawns of the house just before I nabbed Gemma for some nice shots on her own.
I had such a fun day shooting this party  though I was heavy hearted driving home thinking of them having to see her go! At least every time they see these Tea shots everyone gets a giggle as they pulled it off so magnificently. I cannot wait to see the wedding shots I'm sure they will make the most of the day!

The stunning hen!

For anyone who has seen this amazing film you can grasp the sheer opulence and glamour that this era evokes. Pearls, lace, fringing and dramatic makeup was the order of the day.
Fiona Coyne of Heaven Scent  was the brainchild for this shoot having returned from London after a prestigious makeup course for this style.  She applied the different striking looks to our lovely models Suzi Coombs and Paige Martin.  Hair looks were created by Michelle Forrestal also at Heaven Scent.
The stunning Gatsby inspired headpieces were courtesy of Emily Jean- O' Byrne. A great inspiration for you brides out there considering this style of wedding...!

Our fabulous location in Newtownsmith was  BORN clothing store. They had a lovely array of dresses and shoes that we utilized for the day. Born happens to be my personal favourite store in terms of clothing and decor and a great place to go for food too!  Thanks to Sinead Ni Neachtain and Debbie Norman and Born staff for their help and patience on the day - ladies ye were an absolute pleasure to work with.

Final big thanks to Home Gallery upstairs who gave us the opportunity to also shoot there for the chandelier shots. All mirrors, lamps and chaise longues are available in home gallery just pop upstairs and be amazed by the beautiful furniture in all styles.

Some select dresses, wigs and props were dug out of the Boudoir Girls dress up box -  we stock many old style props and costumes for different looks for hen parties and girly photoshoots.  If any of you ladies are looking to recreate this look or any others with your friends either for a makeup night or photoshoot don't hesitate to contact us at Boudoir Girls  ( 087) 6332611 or the fab ladies at Heaven Scent  091 567192.

Popstars Hen party Galway!

I love it when a group of hens put huge effort into their outfits. This was the case with our popstars Hen party for Ms Kirana last summer . She was Madonna and all her buddies came as different pop stars. There was Lady gaga, katy perry, Spice Girls, Posh, Marilyn, Amy winehouse, cheryl, Jlo etc even a Miss piggy!.
We had a great shoot in the Victoria Hotel Galway and everything ran like clockwork under the careful planning of Jenni in Posh Fizz:  posh fizz on facebook
we had such a giggle posing along to the relevant tunes and they looked just fab - everyone got really into character.
Great idea as an icebreaker for your hen party as everyone has such a laugh at the costumes. It does not even have to be expensive to pull off! We provide several props for this theme - you can come in any costume that you like.
Madonna - perfectly preformed by Ms K!
