Ms Roisin's Burlesque Hen party!

Here are some snippets from a recent Burlesque themed shoot we did for a great bunch of ladies.
They first had their makeup applied by the talented makeup team Theresa Danaher and Samantha Craughwell and then slipped into our dress up corsets and accessories.
They all looked amazing and you would never know that  Roisin had hurt her back a day prior to this shoot she could not bend down or up the poor thing. She still managed to pull off some sassy poses with the gang and plenty of laughs were had.

Rock 'n'roll bride!

A recent hen shoot in the Pillo hotel  Galway turned out to be a rockin experience. Our bride to be Elaine was surprised with the 'cosmo makeover session' by her friends. They even went to the trouble of making the ultimate soundtrack for her and bringing it down so we could have a bit of craic during the shoot. As Alice cooper and Metallica were blaring the ladies all had their makeup applied by Theresa Danaher and there was plenty of banter between them in the hotel room! (yes we did a group in the hotel bedroom believe it or not!)
Seeing as this was planned to be done in the  room we opted for the pyjama party look and the girls all had a lovely set each for the photo shoot. Firstly  we did the glam one to one shots for a different look followed by some shots of the bridal party and different scenarios of family etc.
On went the Pj's and all hell broke loose - pillows flying and plenty of belly laughs! We did some tongue in cheek shots in the bed also just for fun. Here are some snippets!
I have visions of them all at Elaine's Halloween wedding moshing up a storm!!

Mel and the gang!

Mel booked a hen party photo shoot with me recently in Galway at the Imperial Hotel. These girls were well up for the craic and had a selection of devil accessories with them all prepared! We tried out a few
looks and fun scenarios including the popular Boudoir Girls ' Dishy Housewives' theme! Well done girls on surprising the lovely bride to be and on the posing!
Cheeky devils!

sailor girls hit the carlton..

have to say this is the first time I got the chance to photograph a hen in a swimming pool area. Boy was it hot  in there and these ladies were smokin! Michelle had planned her hen with the sailor theme for the girls and they also brought along some props for fun. I'm sure there were a few eyebrows raised in the pool area which added to the craic. Outside we managed to steal a few shots on the decking which was lovely. The girls even did a faux tug-of-war with a scared Michelle in the middle!!
Having the craic
Tug - o -war
pool side fun!

Vanity fair style shoot with Ms 'D'

The delightful Ms 'D' came to the studio recently as a treat to herself (and her man!)
The theme was based around Kate Winslet's shoot in Vanity Fair - (the one with the fur) Kate Winslet got stick over that shoot saying she was not airbrushed to her knowledge...mmm I'm on the fence on that one. All celebrities get a bit of retouching as far as I'm concerned.
We also got to do some tongue in cheek shots that were totally relevant to her and her man. Great craic.
However Ms 'D' did a great job considering she was shaking coming in the door for her makeover  - she
left like a giggly child and looked stunning thanks to the makeup talents of Theresa Danaher. Not that she wasn't a beauty to begin with mind you but it's nice to have makeup done in a different way to what you are used to and try different looks for your photographs. We went with the toned down lips for the first few shots and then the red lippy was applied for a different look again.
Here are some of the headshots from the shoot. Thanks for letting us show these Ms 'D"!
Just getting finishing touches of makeup

One of my fav's

And the fur: if it's good enough for Vanity Fair it's good enough for us!

Catriona's pajama party hen!

This hen was every man's fantasy! - 8 girls in their Pj's having a pillow fight. I was greeted by the lovely Carla who surprised the hen with this shoot in Jury's. We had such a laugh taking shots of the girls posing and also a lot of tongue-in-cheek stuff! Everything that makes a hen party fun really. Catriona was well up for the craic  - she took everything the girls threw at her with pizzaz!! Pj's photo shoots are fun - one for the list girls, all in the comfort of your hotel....

The girls insisted she did!and she did!!

Kim's Hen!

Had great fun and beautiful weather at Kim's hen party in the Ardilaun recently. Kim is no stranger to makeup herself she owns 'Kim's Beauty Sanctuary' in Manorhamilton (check it out ladeez) so it was nice
for her to kick back and be pampered for a change. Theresa Danaher and Trish Kenneally did a fab job on the makeup front - Here is a look at some of their fab pictures from the day. We managed to shoot and do the makeovers all outdoors as the weather was splitting the rocks. Let's hope Kim's wedding day will be as sunny!

Beautiful bride to be

Hats off to the ladies!!

Caroilin's Hen!

Caroilin's hen group had booked into the stylish Western Hotel apartments in Galway for a night of fun. The girls had organized a cake for her followed by a beautiful slideshow of her youth! It made for great shots as they laughed wholeheartedly at their prevoius teenage 'fashion faux pas' and crazy weekends! I took some nice candid shots indoors followed by some outdoor ones on the rooftop. The girls were all ready for road (as they booked the mini-cosmo they already had makeup on) After persuading some of them (you know who you are ;)))))) to stand in front of the lens for photo's, they turned out lovely despite their reluctance! Some went in two's and three's for back up!!All in all we had a great giggle between shots while the girls sipped on champagne and ate yummy strawberries.

aww!

Cutting of the cake!

Sarah's Hen!

I had the pleasure of meeting a lovely bunch of girls recently who surprised Sarah with this fun 'mini-cosmo' shoot at the Carlton Hotel. I was greeted with a lovely gang all dolled up in killer 'LBD's' except for Sarah who wore a beautiful pink dress. I supplied the props except for the flowers who were brought by Miss 'M' her sister. With Rhianna blaring we got to work posing and giggling and as you can see the girls turned out fabulous in their shots. Big thanks to The Carlton who are an ideal hen venue and always accommodate us 'Boudoir Girls' on our shoots. xxxxxxx

Marie Antoinette in the Boudoir!!

It's always fun to team up with other photographers on shoots for mutual benefit. Myself and John Mc Mahon teamed up on a Boudoir shoot Marie Antoinette style! As I have a little obsession with her and all things Baroque/Antique/ Gothic I could not wait to unleash this vision in my head. Costumes and props and a menagerie of camera equipment were dragged to Sharon's house and the fun began! Makeup and hair was done by the amazing Yvonne Meenaghan for this shoot. John was fantastic at giving direction to us both during this shoot as he recorded some HD snippets of us in action!! Lighting was also a little different to accentuate the look in different ways.  We all had a blast doing the shoot and well done to Sharon on her modeling - GET THIS : she is not a 'professional model'. We wanted to prove that you don't have to be to achieve stunning photographs. This kind of photography is ideal for a pre- wedding gift for the groom  or a romantic Valentines/Birthday/Christmas gift for your other half!! We offer coffee table Boudoir Books that will guarantee to catch his attention! Calendars are also available with various fun themes if you prefer something more tongue in cheek!! You choose your shoot - we deliver the fantasy! For Boudoir or Hen party bookings contact:  (087) 6332611

Hens at the House Hotel

Had a lovely shoot on March 5th at the lovely House Hotel in Galway with a fab bunch from Cavan, Armagh, Dublin etc! Fantastic to see that a group of girls who stayed in touch since college have all come together again for Charlene's Hen party. That's real friends for you....
As it was a surprise we had to keep mum about the operation until the day when we ambushed her in the lobby. This was, her sister tells me right up her street . Costumes were brought so the girls could dress up and we carried out the shoot and makeovers in the various pretty rooms in the hotel. The curtain made such a pretty backdrop for the pics that I did not use my own. We finished off with a group shot in the lobby of the hotel - all the girls dressed to impress and getting many admiring glances along the way!! Even 'mama M' who's birthday it was that day, donned a top hat for the pictures with style!!
Makeup was skillfully applied on the day by Theresa Danaher and Tricia Kenneally!
the lovely hen!

Ms 'C' has a makeover...

Last weekend Ms 'C' decided to celebrate her impending birthday - as we are ladies we will not
disclose what age..  ;) How and ever hubby was longing for something sexy and she was longing for sexy meets vintage so we did both! Makeup was applied prior to shoot at 'Pamper U' Salon in Headford and I have to say they did a lovely job!
Enlcosed are some wee snippets of the shoot. Well done Ms 'C'!

Pretty in Pink!
